Inviting and removing members
Invitations, pending invitations, changing roles and removing people.
Owners and admins manage who is on a team from the team's settings page: Settings, then Teams, then the team.
Inviting someone
Choose Invite member, enter their email address, choose Admin or Member, and send. They receive an email with a link. The invitation is tied to that email address, so they must sign in, or sign up, with it. See Inviting your team for the full walkthrough.
Pending invitations
Invitations that have not been accepted are listed under Pending invitations, with the address and the role offered. Each one:
- counts as a seat on your plan until it is accepted or goes away,
- expires three days after it was sent and is then removed automatically,
- can be cancelled at any time with the cross beside it.
To resend, cancel the old invitation and send a new one.
What the invited person sees
After signing in, they find a Pending team invitations panel on their dashboard, naming who invited them. Accepting adds them to the team and switches them into it; declining removes the invitation. The person who sent the invitation is notified when it is accepted.
Changing a role
Open the role menu beside a member's name and choose the new role. The change applies immediately. Promoting someone to admin gives them every project on the team at once; demoting an admin to member leaves them with only the projects they are assigned to.
Removing someone
Choose the remove button beside their name and confirm. They lose access to the team's projects straight away, and their seat is freed. Anything they wrote or uploaded stays in place, attributed to them, so the record of the work is intact.
People can also leave a team themselves from their Teams page, unless they own it. See Switching, creating and leaving teams.
