Upgrading and changing plans

Subscribe from the billing page, move between plans, and choose monthly or yearly.

Plans are managed on the team's billing page, and only the team's owner can see it: open Settings, then Teams, choose the team, and choose Manage billing.

Moving from Free to a paid plan

  1. On the billing page, choose monthly or yearly billing. Yearly costs the same as ten months, so two months are free.
  2. Choose Subscribe to the plan you want.
  3. You are taken to Stripe's checkout to enter a card. Card details never touch Waypoint's servers.
  4. After paying you return to the billing page. The new limits apply within a moment or two.

Payment is taken immediately; there is no trial on paid plans because the Free plan already lets you try everything.

Switching between paid plans

Choose Switch to the plan you want on the billing page. Moving up applies straight away, with the difference charged pro rata by Stripe. Moving down also applies straight away, but only if the team fits inside the smaller plan: no more projects, members or storage than it allows. If it does not fit, the page tells you what is over and by how much, so you can tidy up first.

Monthly to yearly, or back

Changing the billing interval works like changing plan: pick the interval on the billing page and choose the plan again. Stripe adjusts the next invoice for the time already paid.

Who can manage billing

Only the owner. Admins see the current plan and usage on the team settings page, but the billing page itself is owner-only, so nobody else on the team can change what you pay. Receipts go to the owner's email address.

Going back to Free

Cancelling the plan returns the team to Free at the end of the period you have paid for. See Cancelling a plan.
