Plans and limits
What Free, Starter and Pro include, and what happens when a team reaches a limit.
Every team is on a plan, and the plan sets three limits: how many projects the team can hold, how many people can be on it, and how much file storage it has. The tools themselves are the same on every plan.
The plans
| Plan | Projects | Members | Storage | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | 5 | 5 GB | Free |
| Starter | 5 | 25 | 25 GB | $15 a month, or $150 a year |
| Pro | 20 | Unlimited | 100 GB | $50 a month, or $500 a year |
Prices are per team, not per person. Adding people never changes the bill; you only move up a plan when the team needs more room. See the pricing page for the full comparison.
How the limits are counted
- Projects counts the projects on the team right now. Delete a project and its slot is free again.
- Members counts everyone on the team plus invitations that have not been accepted or expired yet. Cancel stale invitations to free seats.
- Storage adds up every file uploaded on the team: drive files, attachments on replies, chat, comments and events. Deleting a file frees its space immediately.
Owners and admins can see the team's usage on its settings page, and the owner sees it in more detail on the billing page.
What happens at a limit
Nothing is lost and nothing stops working. Waypoint refuses the one thing that would go over: creating another project, sending another invitation, or uploading another file. The message names the plan and the limit. Free up room by deleting or cancelling something, or upgrade from the billing page. See We've hit a plan limit.
New teams start on Free
Every team, including your personal team, starts on the Free plan with no card required and no time limit. There is no trial: Free is the trial, for as long as you want it.
