What your assistant can do
The projects, tasks, events, messages and activity an assistant can read and change.
A connected assistant has a set of tools it can call. It picks them itself based on what you ask, so you talk to it normally: "what is still open on the website redesign?" or "move the press kit card to Doing and assign it to Sam".
Projects and teams
- List the teams you belong to and the projects you can see on each.
- Open a project: its dates and status, its tools and the people on it.
- Create a project, rename it or change its dates.
- Add a tool, such as a task board or calendar, to a project.
- List the members of a team with their roles, and, if you are an owner or admin, change who is assigned to a project.
Task boards
- Read a board: its columns and every card with assignees and due dates.
- Add a card to a column, with a description, due date and assignees.
- Move a card to another column or position.
- Change who is assigned to a card.
Calendars
- List the events in a date range, with repeating events expanded.
- Add an event, timed or all-day, with participants, a link and a repeat schedule.
Message boards
- List the messages on a board and read one in full with its replies.
- Post a message, save it as a draft or schedule it.
- Reply to a message.
Activity
- Summarise what changed recently on a team or a single project.
What it cannot do yet
Assistants cannot use chat, upload files or work in drives, edit or delete existing cards, events and messages, or change anything about your team's billing. Those may come later.
The same rules as you
Everything the assistant does goes through the same checks as the app. It cannot see a project you cannot see, cannot assign members unless you are an owner or admin, and hits the same plan limits. Whatever it changes is logged in the activity feed under your name, and people are notified exactly as if you had done it.
